We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Sales & Marketing Leader to drive the success of our operations in the DACH region. This position requires a results-driven professional who can lead multidisciplinary teams and implement effective sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the account management, marketing, bid- and sales support, and business development teams.
- Establish efficient sales processes for offer creation and tender management, and fine-tune pricing guidelines in line with company strategy.
- Actively manage sales processes and tools to ensure order generation for the agreed product portfolio, targeting annual sales goals.
- Provide sales funnel input for quarterly planning, and meet quarterly forecasted sales targets.
- Participate in monthly sales performance calls with senior management, contributing relevant inputs.
- Set effective team performance KPIs and manage their achievement.
- Ensure accurate weekly reporting of orders and the sales funnel.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing and account plans to build the funnel and achieve sales targets, using channels like digital marketing, content marketing, account-based marketing, social media, PR/communications, events, and lead nurturing/demand generation.
- Develop strategies to increase market share and secure new customers.
- Own and update the strategic DACH Go-To-Market plan, providing regular updates.
- Analyze marketing KPIs, develop scorecards, and report results to management and stakeholders, utilizing other business units as sales channels.
- Conduct customer, competitive, and market analyses to find opportunities for value creation and differentiation, coordinating with product management.
- Provide insights for the product roadmap, focusing on innovation and improvements based on customer feedback.
- Engage with the broader sales and marketing community to share best practices and promote brand perception.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and customer functions.
- Serve as a member of the DACH management team, reporting directly to the CEO.
Your Skills, Experience & Personality:
- University degree in Business Administration, Software Development, Engineering, or comparable discipline.
- Proven track record in successfully leading larger sales teams within the software industry, especially in project and services environments.
- Demonstrated success in winning new customers in competitive settings.
- 3–5 years of experience managing remote teams, with strong coaching skills.
- Work experience in marketing, including familiarity with recent industry trends.
- Skilled in tender-based sales and dealings with public clients.
- Excellent negotiation skills in commercial contexts with customers.
- Highly result-driven with strong prioritization, project management, and organizational abilities.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and planning skills.
- Fluent in both English and German.
- High ethical standards.
