SOSi is seeking a Talent Acquisition Strategist to join our recruiting team in Reston, VA. The Talent Acquisition Strategist will be responsible for handling the full lifecycle recruiting and must have a solid ability to multi-task, be organized, have a sense of urgency, and be forward-thinking. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing passive and active, highly technical IT candidates in the cleared arena. Short notice foreign travel may be required.
- Accurately evaluate candidates based on core competencies and cultural fit.
- Build effective networks and relationships to maintain a strong pipeline of talent.
- Manage the flow of employee referrals and candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to determine position specifications, pre-screening questions, interview questions, and solve staffing challenges.
- Plan and execute recruiting strategies and provide services for assigned programs.
- Work closely with each hiring manager to determine position specifications.
- Create and present prescreening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval.
- Source candidates through various methods such as job boards, databases, cold calling, attending job fairs, networking, generating referrals, and other creative methods.
- Coordinate recruiting functions such as scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, tracking candidates, and reporting on new hires to the Recruiting Manager and program management.
- Maintain recruiting documentation for tracking applicant processing, applicant flow, cost-per-hire, and recruiting effectiveness.
- Pre-screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and evaluate candidates for referrals to hiring managers.
- Participate in projects performed by the Talent Acquisition Department.
- Identify potential problems or areas for improvement and provide solutions.
- Assist the TESA process for all new hires.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum four years of full cycle recruiting experience, predominantly in the government services industry with a focus on IT Enterprise positions.
- Experience in the government contracting industry.
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and to organize and prioritize multiple on-going projects in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak with large groups of prospective candidates.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications and hands-on familiarity with various recruiting sources and tools.
- In-scope Secret clearance or higher.
- Familiarity and experience with DOD.
- Familiarity and experieince using external agencies such as DOD TAP and SFl offices.
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends, when necessary.
- May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional requirement to travel.
