The Opportunity:
As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our customers’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe.
As a Defense Mission Expert, you will provide operational expertise, exercise and engagement planning, and subject matter support to help identify and integrate Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) systems and capabilities into a U.S. component Air Operations Center (AOC). Incorporate joint, allied, and coalition air, space, and missile defense capabilities, enhance concurrent execution of the counter air framework, and fuse JADC2 defense systems into AOC operations, exercises, training, and education. Advise commander and supporting components on JADC2 capabilities limitations and apply operational functional area expertise on JADC2 operations integration. Provide expert recommendations and support, including the operational implementation of JADC2 systems into both new and existing AOC systems and architectures. Deliver real-time support to time-sensitive and contingency operations that leverage JADC2 capabilities to advance the objectives of the commanders within the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Contribute to theater- and regional-level exercises and participate in Operational Planning Teams by offering detailed analysis and actionable recommendations. Leverage technical expertise and recommendations to leadership on operations, maintenance, and configuration of complex JADC2 systems and how they interface with US, allied, and coalition systems and architectures. Capture assessments and after-action deliverables, including talking points and recommendations for the future of JADC2 as it relates to AOC operations and exercises. Facilitate the development of and provide recommendations for Continuity of Operations (COOP) for the Air Operations Center and its critical capabilities. Establish agreements with agencies and organizations during planning and evaluation phases, and monitor readiness resources, including required sites, personnel, and equipment. Be effective in a high-paced environment while coordinating and collaborating with AOC stakeholders and command organizations to achieve mission goals.
