At Dassault Systèmes, we don’t just sell software — we help shape the future of engineering through modeling and simulation. Our SIMULIA solutions are transforming how automotive and rail innovators design, validate, and deliver tomorrow’s mobility.
We are currently looking for a passionate Senior Sales Expert (m/f/d) to accelerate this transformation — through our partner ecosystem.
In this role, you will focus on growing our simulation business in the automotive and rail sector by leading a network of trusted sales partners across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). You’ll empower and equip them to bring SIMULIA solutions into more customer conversations, unlocking new value for OEMs and suppliers across the industries.
This position is location-independent and can be performed in a hybrid format from one of our 3DS offices (e.g., Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin, Darmstadt, Hamburg, or Düsseldorf).
Role & Responsibilities
- Build and execute strategic partner account plans aligned with Dassault Systèmes’ growth goals and each partner’s strengths and customer base
- Act as the key interface between SIMULIA and selected partners — ensuring alignment, enablement, and a joint effort between the partner and 3DS on the execution of Sales
- Train, coach and inspire partner sales teams on how to position and sell the SIMULIA portfolio from our classic portfolio to our leading solution on the 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation
- Guide and encourage our partners from simulation domain-oriented solutions towards real end-to-end process transformations for virtual validation
- Drive partner-specific sales initiatives focusing on volume business and on the other side strategic transformational deals
- Orchestrate internal resources (Pre-Sales, Industry Experts, Partner Sales Manager, Marketing, Sales Operations, etc.) to drive partner-specific sales initiatives. The goal is to increase pipeline and accelerate closing.
- Represent Dassault Systèmes as a trusted advisor for our partners as well as for internal stakeholders for Dassault Systems simulation portfolio related to partner business in the automotive simulation ecosystem
- Identify lighthouse opportunities where direct engagement complements partner efforts, helping to shape scalable success stories
-
A key role will not only be to monitor but to pro-actively improve partner performance, pipeline, and forecast accuracy, ensuring mutual accountability and shared success
Qualifications:
- Degree in business, engineering or similar background is preferred
- Strong track record in sales of complex, consultative software solutions, ideally in simulation, engineering, or CAE
- 4+ years of experience working with or managing sales partners, resellers or systems integrators in a B2B context
- Customers and partners often have distinct and evolving needs — and you respond with agility, connecting with and influencing the right stakeholders across internal and external networks
- As a trusted point of contact for leadership, you're confident in navigating high-pressure situations. You manage conflicts, lead negotiations, and make tough decisions with clarity and composure, viewing challenges as opportunities to demonstrate leadership and impact.
- You strive for excellence in everything you do. Due to changing priorities, urgent customer needs, or a final push to meet a quarterly forecast, you face the daily challenge of where to focus your time and energy.
- Strategic mindset: you can co-create a 3-year vision with a partner and turn it into tangible near-term actions
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills – you know how to translate technical value into business outcomes and can adapt your message across audiences
- A builder mentality: you enjoy scaling others, creating repeatable success, and unlocking ecosystem value
- Fluency in German and English at a business level; other languages (e.g., French) are a plus
