About the Team
We are a team focused on HR compliance and employee relations. Our work ensures that the company follows legal and regulatory requirements related to human resources. A key part of our role is working with employee representative bodies and acting as a link between them and the company. In countries with employee representative bodies, we support the business by helping it stay compliant, improving internal communication, and protecting employee rights. Our goal is to create a fair, transparent, and supportive work environment.

This role provides strategic support across the business on designing and managing projects with works council, ensuring that TikTok complies with regional legal requirements in WC relations. The role will work with Berlin works council on a day to day level and align with EMEA regional works councils on a strategic level.

Responsibilities
1. Works Council Strategy Formulation: collaborate with global business stakeholders, global employment legal and global HR teams in developing and implementing works council related strategies and initiatives; identify the topics and categories that are critical in Works Council management and develop corresponding communication strategies; proactively identify and conduct research on the new trends / best practice of works council related policies and processes, as well as other employment issues.
2. Partnership Building and Works Council Communications: participate in the meetings with works council on site, and establish trusting relationships with regional leadership and works council members; act as interface to works council, lead/support key negotiations with works council (such as IT updates, performance management, employee movement process, company-level policies, etc); prepares documents and other reports to communicate with works council on employee concerns.
3. Professional Support to Business and HR teams: advise TikTok business leaders and HRBPs on works council and co-determination issues; handle all questions of co-determination and labor law; develop HR compliance training program as needed.
4. Cross-Functional Network Collaboration: collaborates with global cross functional teams on HR and works council related projects; assist in the implementation of global/regional HR projects as the EMEA regional coordinator.
