What you'll do
As a working student (f/m/d) you will support us with the conception and the development of future supply chain planning solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and test innovative algorithmic solutions for supply chain optimization
- Conduct literature research on new algorithmic approaches in Operations Research
- Create and evaluate AI/ML models
- Write performance and functional tests
What you bring
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
- Preferred fields of study: Mathematics, Informatics, Data Science, Operations Research or related
- Computer skills: Python, C++ (or the willingness to learn it)
- Language skills: fluent in English, German as a plus
- A creative, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Motivation and result driven attitude
- Good teamwork and communication skill
- Weekly attendance onsite in Walldorf office is required
Meet your team
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Optimization and Data Science Unit develops modern planning solutions by using mathematical optimization and artificial intelligence methods that industrial companies worldwide use to plan and optimize their business.
The planning procedures are characterized by high scalability concerning the volume to be planned (procedure efficiency), broad functionality and seamless integrations into SAP applications.
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
