About The Role
The Social Media Manager is a core member of our Social & Community team, responsible for bringing the Omaze brand to life on social — in German, for a German audience.
You’ll own our storytelling content across all major platforms, helping build emotional connection, brand equity, and community trust. This role focuses on sharing who Omaze is, what we stand for, who we support, and the amazing moments we create — through platform-first, culturally relevant content.
You’ll work closely with our creative teams in London and LA, local production partners, and our Community Manager (Germany) to shape and deliver a consistent, inspiring brand presence in Germany.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead local brand storytelling across German social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Plan and deliver mission-led, community-centric content that showcases our impact, partners, winners, and team culture.
- Develop platform-specific strategies for content types that resonate in the German market.
- Brief and collaborate with in-house creators and local freelance talent to produce video, behind-the-scenes, cause-led, and editorial-style content.
- Partner with the Community Manager (Germany) to keep your finger on the pulse of sentiment, audience needs, and conversation trends.
- Ensure all content is culturally and linguistically localized — and feels distinctly “Omaze Germany.”
- Report on engagement, sentiment, and growth — and use insights to continuously refine your strategy.
- Work cross-functionally with Legal, Creative, CX, and Brand teams to align on messaging, voice, and campaign moments.
- Align content with the Social Media Manager (Houses) to ensure sequencing and storytelling across verticals is cohesive and strategic.
About You
- You have strong experience leading social brand storytelling in Germany — ideally for a consumer-facing or purpose-led brand.
- Native-level German and fluent English, with the ability to write and edit compelling content in both languages.
- Deep understanding of how audiences behave on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn — and what makes content land.
- Strategic thinker with strong creative judgement — you know how to emotionally connect with an audience.
- Confident working with creators, videographers, and editors to bring concepts to life.
- Organised and proactive — you’re comfortable running calendars, briefings, and cross-functional content approvals.
- Culturally attuned — you understand how to adapt messaging to feel right in a German context.
- Passionate about the role social media plays in community building, brand love, and social impact.
