For Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH in Ludwigshafen am Rhein/Germany we are looking for a Senior R&D Lab Chemist Catalyst to join our R&D Lab team at earliest date possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of heterogeneous polymerization catalysts and their optimization in modern polymerization processes
- Management and organization of a team of 2 - 3 chemical laboratory technicians
- Management of research projects
- Analysis, documentation and evaluation of analytical data generated in the laboratory
- Knowledge and evaluation of the latest patent applications and scientific literature in the field
- Ensure compliance and enforcement of safety rules as well as company policies
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with polymer and process experts as well as external cooperation partners in an international environment
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Completed studies as a Chemist or Chemical Engineer
- PhD and 2-3 years of professional experience preferred
- Experience in heterogeneous catalysis, support materials or kinetics advantageous
- Analytical and leadership skills
- Methodical, solution-oriented approach to work
- Initiative, independence and ability to work in a team
- Knowledge in the use of Excel for data analysis
- Experience with Advanced Data Evaluation tools desirable
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
