Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you as a talented CAD designer Intern to help us in our mission by modelling vehicle components of our spacecraft.
Your main tasks are the following:
To build the CAD physical model of the vehicle components on Nx (Siemens CAD tool)
To maturate the CAD models by adjusting the vehicle components based on the outcomes of the thermo-mechanical computation loops and system trade-offs
To collaborate closely with thermal and structural analysts, materials, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance of the vehicle components with the mission environments and manufacturing constraints
To provide manufacturing drawings and participate in reviews of designed systems
Qualifications
Enrolled in mechanical aerospace engineering or a comparable field of study.
Experience with CAD software such as Siemens NX or CATIA
Experience with programming software such as Python
Strong knowledge on aerospace vehicle design and associated challenges
Fluent in English. German and French is an asset
