TUI Cruises is looking for a Staff Chief Engineer to start as soon as possible on Mein Schiff Fleet:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deputy Chief Engineer
- Acting as Damage Control Officer
- Supervising and training the entire engine team in operation, repairs and maintenance
- Responsibility for ship maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the flag state, classification society and ship management
- Planning and carrying out all preventive maintenance work and emergency repairs on the ship
- Supporting the Chief Engineer and ship managers in planning shipyard visits
- Documenting all maintenance work in accordance with company standards and specifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Chief Engineer Patent in accordance with STCW COC III/2 and valid STCW certificates
- Advanced IGF certificate and LNG experience an advantage
- Thorough knowledge of all national and international safety and environmental protection regulations
- Ability to interpret ship plans and drawings, draw technical plans and prepare work orders
- Good communication skills and leadership experience
- Very good knowledge of English for communicating with international stakeholders
- Focus on guests and strong service orientation
