Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Have full accountability for the Region Europe OTC P&L, driving resource and investment allocations and ensuring profitable growth and financial discipline while driving productivity.
- Develop, adjust (based on deep insights) and execute Region Europe OTC strategy focused on pricing, GtM models, brand prioritization and sensible BD and life cycle adjustments (portfolio)
- Set business priorities / objectives in close collaboration with key markets, support them in the development of robust commercial plans and ensure strong execution to deliver against short- and long-term targets
- Monitor OTC plans execution and commercial performance. Together with colleagues identify performance improvement opportunities and follow through.
- Ensure optimal resource deployment (e.g., centralization) and partner with regulatory, supply chain, medical, digital, BD / M&A, regional and local leadership teams to ensure integrated execution of OTC strategy
- Lead own team and country OTC colleagues to shape a positive and inclusive team spirit while having a strong focus on skill building and talent management in a fast-changing environment.
- Support lead-markets with consumer and HCPs research programs to develop deep consumer & HCPs insights & understanding. Utilize the discovered unmet needs to map growth opportunities (within key brands and/or selected categories)
- Drive portfolio gap analysis, new MAs acquisitions, Rx-OTC switches and relevant BD&Ls for key categories. Ensure the adequate OTC pipeline is in place. Launches are successfully executed to maximize commercial impact
- Support lead countries to develop strong brand campaigns based on differentiated, compelling and relevant consumer and medical story, and populate them across the region. Ensure best practice sharing.
- Achieve scale through regional contracting (media agency, market research etc.), capability building in Marketing and introduction of marketing tools (e.g., around patient journey, brand health tracking)
- Champion digital agenda across Region Europe OTC, including roll-out of a customer engagement platform to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide input to Strat Plan and Target Setting process as well as Sr. Management reviews
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- University (or equivalent) degree in a scientific or business-related discipline
- Deep experience in OTC is an absolute must, FMCG experience a plus
- Solid commercial experience at country level required; at above-country level is a bonus
- Strong ability to communicate, collaborate effectively, lead, to navigate in a complex environment and push things through/across a matrixed company
- Excellent project management capabilities, strong analytical and conceptual / strategy skills
- Above-average commitment, willingness to work hard and ability to work under pressure
- Must be an opportunity seeker, who is able to bring ideas to life
- Fluent English required (oral and written). Secondary European language is a plus
