We are looking for an experienced and support-oriented full-time
Facility Management Support (m/w/d)
The Facility Management Support role is designed to ensure operational continuity and provide critical support to the Facility Management and Office Support teams at the Hamburg site. This position is essential in managing the increasing workload driven by modernization projects and in preparing for the retirement of the current Facility Manager in April 2027. The role will also contribute to a future-oriented, lean facility management setup across both Hamburg sites.
The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany.
As Facility Management Support your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Support daily operations of the Facility Management and Office Support teams
- Assist in planning and executing modernization and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines and quality standards
- Facilitate structured knowledge transfer from the retiring Facility Manager
- Contribute to the implementation of sustainability and security upgrades aligned with global initiatives
- Strengthen collaboration between Facility Management and the broader Entity Support team
- Maintain documentation and support compliance with internal and external standards
- Support the future consolidation of Facility Management responsibilities across Hamburg sites
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Experience in supporting facility management, technical support, or a related field
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Proficiency in English and German
- Knowledge of Wärtsilä systems and processes (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Internal candidate with proven performance and readiness for immediate onboarding (preferred)
