About the Project
We are supporting a major network transformation initiative and are looking for an experienced Cisco Catalyst LAN & WLAN Specialist to join our team. The project involves migration from WAN to a centrally managed SD-WAN solution, management of Cisco-based LAN/Wi-Fi infrastructures, and the implementation of a cloud-based UC platform.
Your Tasks
- Lead design, implementation, and management of Cisco-based network architectures
- Analyze & evaluate existing network infrastructures (legacy review)
- Develop/document new Layer 2 design + IP addressing schemes
- Migrate branch offices/sites to the new design
- Configure/manage Layer 2 & Layer 3 protocols (STP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
- Implement & maintain TACACS+ authentication/authorization systems
- Support & troubleshoot wireless networks (WLAN)
- Manage Cisco wireless solutions (IOS-XE controller-based, APs)
- Collaborate with security, WAN, and IT teams
- Ensure thorough documentation of configs, processes & topologies
Professional Profile
- Strong experience with Cisco Catalyst platforms (9000 series, Cisco Catalyst Center / DNA Center)
- In-depth knowledge of Layer 2/3 (STP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
- Hands-on with TACACS+, Radius, ideally Cisco ISE
- WLAN expertise: AP configuration, wireless security, architecture
- Proven experience in network migrations
- Familiarity with network monitoring & analysis tools
- Certifications: CCNP Enterprise / Wireless (nice to have)
- Knowledge of network security & ITIL frameworks is a plus
- Valid work permit for Germany + language proficiency is mandatory

Pay: 37.842,80€ - 81.650,10€ per year
