What you’ll do
- Own complex areas of general ledger accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, and key account reconciliations
- Manage intercompany processes: invoice accounting, inventory recharges, loan interest recharges, and AP/AR reconciliations
- Oversee lease accounting (IFRS 16) and ensure accurate monthly reporting
- Support monthly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and HGB (German GAAP)
- Prepare prepayments, review accruals, and ensure timely submission of statutory reports (e.g. Z5, K3 to Bundesbank)
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Group Reporting, and external auditors to ensure alignment and accuracy
- Drive continuous process improvements and contribute to special projects across accounting teams
- Analyze financial data to support decision-making, using Excel/Google Sheets and tools such as Oracle, Tableau, or Tagetik
What you’ll bring
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills across all levels; German is a nice-to-have
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration; professional certifications such as CPA, CIMA, or ACCA are a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally in fast-paced, international environments
- Solid understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&Ls, and Cash Flows) and strong working knowledge of IFRS and HGB
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and continuously striving for process and performance improvements
- Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets and experienced with standard accounting systems; ability to analyze and interpret large data sets
- Bonus points for familiarity with Oracle, Tableau, Workday Adaptive, or Tagetik
- A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, openness to learning, and a positive attitude
