As a Sales & Account Manager (B2B Domains) at IONOS, you will be a strategic force behind the growth of our global domain services business. You will engage with potential clients, drive new revenue, and expand our presence across reseller, brand, and domainer customer segments – primarily outside the DACH region.
Tasks
New Business Development (65%): Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and pitching to closing deals.
- Convert high-quality, pre-qualified leads provided by our advanced internal data teams.
- Leverage detailed lead information, including correct contact points, TLDs in use, and portfolio sizes.
- Coordinate closely with SDRs (Sales Development Representatives) who support outreach and set up meetings.
- Present tailored domain and digital presence solutions, including:
- Domains and domain bundles
- SSL certificates & security products
- Email & collaboration tools
- E-commerce & website builder solutions
- Domain aftermarket offerings
- Transition converted small-to-medium clients to Customer Success for account maintenance.
Account Management & Upselling (35%): Act as a strategic advisor for larger clients (resellers, brands, domainers).
- Upsell from IONOS’s broad product portfolio:
- For resellers and domainers: volume-based products, API integrations, and aftermarket tools.
- For brands: UDRP services, trademark blocking, monitoring reports, and brand protection tools.
- Develop and execute upsell and renewal strategies.
- Foster long-term customer relationships through insight, trust, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Experience within the Domain Industry.
- Proven track record in B2B tech sales, especially SaaS, hosting, or domain-related services.
- Experience managing international clients and working in a matrix organisation.
- Strong understanding of the domain industry, digital infrastructure, or related fields.
- Fluent in English; Nice to have: German proficiency for internal communication and occasional DACH clients.
- Comfortable with CRM systems (Hubspot or similar) and pipeline reporting.
