Job Title: Procurement Specialist (SPV)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist (SPV) to manage the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, while ensuring compliance with all company policies and contractual obligations. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and managing vendor relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Process: Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including creating and processing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues with vendors or deliveries.
Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), company policies, and contract-specific requirements.
Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies in the procurement process. Analyze spending patterns and provide reports to management.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and other procurement documents.
Requisition Support: Assist internal departments with creating requisitions and provide guidance on procurement procedures.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is a significant plus.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Experience with government contracts or federal acquisition regulations is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Leadership: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Certification: A valid driver's license is required. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management - CPSM) are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Primarily a sedentary, office-based role.
Must be able to sit for extended periods and work in a fast-paced office environment.
Some walking or standing may be required to visit different departments or warehouses.
