We are looking for a procurement intern with a strong technical background to support our market research, datasheet verification, and compliance checks for equipment and sensors in our First-of-a-Kind (tFOAK) projects. You will work at the intersection of engineering, procurement, and project management, ensuring that the right components are sourced, validated, and cost-optimized for our cutting-edge climate-tech systems.
This internship offers a steep learning curve, exposure to real technical challenges, and the opportunity to work closely with engineers and the project management team.
Key points
- Market research: Identify and evaluate suppliers for technical components, test equipment, and services.
- Offer comparison: Support the comparison of technical quotes in collaboration with engineering and project leads.
- Legal and regulatory screening: Check compliance requirements (e.g., CE marking, ATEX, REACH) in coordination with technical experts.
- Cost optimization: Assist in comparing procurement options and preparing decision support materials for investments.
- Supplier interaction: Help draft specifications, reach out to suppliers, follow up on offers, and support vendor selection.
Skills and Experience
- Enrolled in a technical degree program (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar).
- Looking to complete a compulsory internship (minimum 3 months).
- Enjoy working in a structured and detail-oriented way, especially with technical content.
- Strong German skills (C1+) and English fluency (company language).
- Interested in working at the interface between engineering, procurement, and project management.
