We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives.
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Network Administrator, SME. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partner MND located OCONUS in Wiesbaden, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS. This position is located OCONUS.
Responsibilities:
Possesses and applies expert-level knowledge in supporting, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading EMITS 2’s networks and servers
Plans and leads installations and integrations of new server hardware and applications
Maintains baseline of infrastructure requirements and communicates on a routine basis with vendors on projected systems improvements
Assesses emerging policies, technology, and best practices for applicability and implementation into networks, systems, hardware, and software to improve efficiency, effectiveness, security posture, and resiliency
Resolves incidents and problems and ensures network performance continuity for fail over or disaster recovery events
Supports and administers third-party applications
Ensures adherence to USAREUR-AF and MP cybersecurity practices and directives
Evaluates and monitors network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and tests/evaluates for weaknesses
Directs and executes user accounts, permissions, and passwords to support requirements
Resolves problems reported by users and defines and supports network policies and procedures
Designs system requirements and solutions; provides research and recommendations on network systems and server system administration
Frequently attends and participates in meetings to discuss new technologies, technology insertion projects, and modernization roadmaps
Mentors other network administrators
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives
Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge
May supervise others
Qualifications:
Required:
Currently hold an adjudicated Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
BA/BS + 13 years
Certification – 8140 -CCNA or GCIA or GCLD or GDSA or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP or GCED or GCIH-
Demonstrates expert-level mastery in supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading networks and servers, with particular emphasis on military environments.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of complex network systems, cybersecurity practices, and server administration, ensuring adherence to directives.
Exhibits strategic expertise in assessing emerging technologies, planning system improvements, leading installations of new hardware and applications, and defining network policies and procedures.
Possesses experience with ISP commercial connections and vendor communication for system improvements.
Showcases proficiency in resolving critical network issues, designing system solutions, and evaluating network performance for optimum efficiency and security.
Displays leadership in mentoring other Network Administrators, establishing project goals, and potentially supervising team members.
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with vendors, participate in high-level technology discussions, and provide expert recommendations on network systems and modernization roadmaps.
