In order to support the Internet of Things, Platforms and Digital Solutions Team, Airbus Operations is looking for a

Masterand (d/f/m) in C&C Engineering 'IoT Platforms & Digital Services'

Are you looking for a Master Thesis and want to research in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for aviation? The thesis will focus on processing structured/unstructured data and integrating AI-driven automation into Airbus technical and operational contexts. Then apply now! Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time master student in the area of Software Engineering, Computer/Data Science, IT or an equivalent field of study.

• Data Science & Machine Learning (data cleaning, structuring, model development)

• Generative AI / LLMs (e.g., prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation)

• Communication Systems (preferably aviation-related protocols & architectures)

• Embedded Systems / IoT (understanding of connectivity, sensors, devices)

• Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and ability to document results clearly.

• Comfortable with Python / C++.

• Fluent in English is a must and in German is plus.
