About the Role:
The Marketing Specialist plays an exciting and pivotal role in growing AVI-SPL's business in Germany. This position works closely with the global Senior Marketing Manager, International, the Managing Director in Germany, and colleagues from the U.S., Germany, and around the world to support the implementation of the overall AVI-SPL global marketing standards and campaigns for the German market. The role also leads the development and execution of local demand generation campaigns to grow the sales pipeline and help win business.
The ideal candidate has a passion for elevating brand awareness and collaborating with sales to help them connect with customers. As the marketing leader in a distinct global market, this candidate is also an innovative thinker and works well independently to manage multiple marketing projects. This role is part of the global marketing department and a key member of our German team.
Responsibilities:
- Create, localize, and execute marketing campaigns and activities tailored to the German market.
- Develop annual marketing plans that align with global and local company goals and initiatives.
- Support the development and execution of internal and external communications plans with a consistent and well-integrated message; routinely participate in sales and corporate marketing team meetings to ensure alignment.
- Provide local insights and ideas to help tailor campaigns and communications for the German audience.
- Create or promote marketing content and sales tools that engage prospects and clients through multiple channels including end-user messaging for the avispl.de website and social media, with support from the corporate marketing team.
- Plan and execute end-user events and presence at industry conferences, including event selection, audience development, logistics, and ROI measurement.
- Collaborate closely with the German sales teams to ensure they have the necessary marketing materials and sales tools to engage clients and prospects.
- Work with sales operations to manage campaign lists, customer profiles, lead handoff, lead management, and ROI reporting.
- Be a brand guardian, advising on brand styling, messaging, and positioning of marketing materials in India to maintain our global brand standards.
- Support co-marketing plans and MDF funding with preferred partner vendors partners in the region.
- Localize corporate content for the internal digital signage network.
- Communicate marketing results to key marketing and sales stakeholders; provide recommendations for optimization and improvement as needed.

Qualifications & Skills
You have a passion for marketing and demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns in a B2B environment. You understand the technology sector, ask insightful questions, challenge thinking, are approachable and proactive, and seize opportunities as they arise.
- 5-7 years in marketing, ideally in a technology brand with multi-market exposure
- Proven ability to develop marketing plans and operationally deliver against objectives.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience managing campaigns and lead generation.
- Strong knowledge of multiple marketing disciplines including corporate communications, demand generation, website management, event marketing, email marketing, and social media.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Working knowledge of applications such as WordPress, LinkedIn, inbound and email marketing (HubSpot), and project management tools (Asana).
- Ability to effectively interact and maintain constructive working relationships with employees, clients, partners, and colleagues at all levels.
- Basic graphic design skills to create marketing materials - proficiency with tools including Canva and the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator experience is preferred).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in creating and managing budgets and reporting on ROI.
- Experience operating in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
- Fluency in German and English is required; Spanish (beneficial)
This position will be based in our Frankfurt office, reporting to the office four days per week and working remotely one day per week. Work hours may vary depending on meeting times with global colleagues.
