The Role:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our global accounting team. This role will be crucial in supporting our global Accounts Payable (AP), expense report processing, and corporate credit card programs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment, is eager to learn and grow their accounting skills, and is committed to ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage high volumes of global accounts payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approval, and timely payment.
- Review, process, and audit employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
- Administer and reconcile corporate credit card accounts, including timely payment processing and allocation of expenses.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and employee questions related to AP, expense reports, and credit cards.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to AP, accruals, and cash reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to global AP, expense reports, and credit card transactions.
- Help maintain vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes within global AP, expense reporting, and credit card management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with employees and departments to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data.
- Assist with audit requests by providing necessary documentation and support for AP, expenses, and credit cards.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role; prior experience with accounts payable, expense reports, or credit card reconciliation is a plus.
- Basic understanding of GAAP.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and expense management and AP tools (e.g., Tipalti, Navan, Concur) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
We are a hybrid workplace that recognizes the importance of flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration and relationship building. As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.
