Paid Search is at the core of GetYourGuide’s growth engine. As Head of Paid Search Operations, you will own performance across a portfolio of our highest-impact campaigns. You will combine rigorous system design with inspirational people leadership to unlock profitable growth at a global scale.

Your mission:

1. Campaign strategy & ownership

• Define objectives and key results for paid search campaigns and align cross-functionally on targets and resource allocation.
• Build and maintain monitoring frameworks that surface opportunities in real time.
• Create playbooks for launch, scaling, and rescue scenarios; champion rapid, data-driven experimentation to validate improvements.

• Lead and grow a team of Marketing Managers (a mix of experienced and junior hires); provide coaching and career paths.
• Foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning in line with GetYourGuide’s guiding principles.
• Scale operational ceremonies that foster high engagement and accountability.

• Surface issues and opportunities through continuous monitoring of high-value campaigns and, with support from Product, Data Science, and Engineering, convert those insights into scalable tools, processes, and automations.
• Define and prioritise roadmap requirements for dashboards, alerting, and data pipelines using Looker and Databricks.
• Act as the single point of escalation for critical performance issues, coordinating investigations and fast fixes with stakeholders

Who you are:

• People leader: 5 + years building, coaching, and inspiring marketing or growth teams (ideally 8+ direct reports). You create clear career paths, run effective feedback cycles, and develop successors.
• System builder: you love turning chaos into repeatable rituals, dashboards, and playbooks that keep teams aligned and high-performing.
• Scale-up mindset: thrive in fast-changing, high-growth environments; comfortable setting direction amid ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Channel savvy: hands-on experience in performance marketing or Paid Search is a strong plus; you can translate channel metrics into actionable team goals.
• Data-curious collaborator: familiar with SQL or similar tools and able to partner smoothly with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to operationalise insights (deep technical expertise is a bonus, not a must).
• Clear communicator: distil complexity for executives, energise cross-functional partners, and keep everyone rowing in the same direction.
