Mission of the role: Become the bridge between cutting-edge technology and a seamless user experience. Integrate high-voltage electronic components into customer powertrains, ensuring flawless functionality from factory introduction to real-world use. Diagnose product issues, analyze test results, and support development to deliver intuitive and error-free experiences for our customers.
Key Objectives of this Role:
- Product integration for HV electronic components into customer carlines.
- Support of the factory introduction (calibration, self-diagnosis, line diagnosis), as well as analysis of the problems that arise.
- Product diagnostics.
- Feature Maturity test of the software from the user's perspective in the final electrical system environment.
- Analysis of error findings from the different test departments.
- Support software development in error analysis (reproduction of errors, creation of traces).
- Support test development for hardware validation.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achieve and maintain a >90% user satisfaction rating for HV Product Line performance and quality.
- Ensure a 0% defect rate for newly introduced infotainment and control devices across all factory calibration, self-diagnosis, and line diagnosis processes.
- Reduce the average time to identify and resolve critical device-related issues by 10% through proactive analysis and collaboration with development teams.
Key Year One Deliverables:
- Successfully integrated 2 HV products into the production line, ensuring flawless functionality and achieving zero defect rates during factory introduction.
- Identify and resolve at least critical device-related issues within 5 days of their occurrence.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of test cases or diagnostic procedures for hardware and software validation, enhancing overall product quality and user experience.
- Collaborate with development teams to analyze and address at least user-reported errors or feature maturity concerns, ensuring intuitive and error-free device interactions.
- Develop and present reports containing comprehensive analyses of test results, error findings, and recommendations for improvement, promoting data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Qualification, Experience, and Skills:
- Completed Engineering degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Computer science, Communications Engineering, Physics, or a comparable qualification, e.g. technician with a good degree.
- Good analytical skills.
- Safe handling of automotive tools, ideally also VW-specific (*see below).
- Good knowledge of automotive bus systems and diagnostic protocols.
- Safe application of software development processes.
- Knowledge of driver information or infotainment is an advantage.
- Very good communication skills and intercultural competence.
- Fluent in English.

Reporting Structure: This role will report to the Electrification Product Manager located in Karlsruhe, Germany.
