Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our Base Operations team. The ideal candidate will be a versatile and meticulous professional with a strong background in construction, repair, and woodworking. You will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry tasks, including building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures across the base. Your craftsmanship will be essential in maintaining the safety and functionality of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction & Installation: Construct, install, and repair wooden and other structures, including frameworks, floors, doors, windows, and trim.
Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance on existing structures and fixtures. Diagnose and repair issues, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to accurately plan and execute projects.
Tool & Equipment Management: Maintain and care for all carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition and properly stored.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, especially those related to tool operation and construction site protocols.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a professional carpenter.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and safety procedures. Proven ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods.
Certification: A valid driver's license is required.
