General Purpose:
- Perform comprehensive testing of hardware, software, and components across the Fanatec ecosystem. This includes development support, quality assurance, issue identification, benchmarking, and lifecycle testing.
- Develop, validate, execute, and refine test cases based on defined requirements and test plans. Evaluate test results to identify gaps, support requirement discovery, and drive improvements.
- Plan and conduct benchmark tests for both Fanatec and competitor products to support performance evaluation and positioning.
- Review and validate test results, create structured test reports, and present interim findings in project meetings. Ensure continuous communication on test phase status, milestones, and potential impacts on project timelines.
- Monitor and manage issues in GitLab. Handle bug validation, regression testing, and sustain ongoing quality control. Process and escalate critical feedback from beta testers and align with stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers, systems engineering, and internal teams to define test scenarios and improve test coverage. Provide technical support and emergency assistance during events, including internal 3rd-level support.
- Design and implement new testing methods, systems, and measurement techniques, including the development of custom measurement scripts.
- Support and instruct external partners (e.g., Bosch) in testing procedures and issue handling to ensure alignment with internal standards.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in System Validation, Computer Engineering, or a related field – or at least 3 years of professional experience in hardware and software system testing
- Responsible, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality results on schedule
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional, international teams
- Solid analytical mindset and attention to detail when identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues
- Fluency in English (German is a plus)
- Open-minded, curious, and motivated to continuously improve both personal skills and testing processes ·
- Passion for motorsports, esports, and sim racing titels (iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Gran Turismo 7)
- Existing knowledge of Fanatec products is a strong advantage
