Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled (Senior) Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our dynamic team in Berlin.
- Manage overall project cost, schedule, and budgets for data center construction projects
- Oversee the implementation of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members
- Analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to prevent schedule delays
- Participate in the tendering and procurement process, ensuring contract terms align with FIDIC standards
- Review and approve cost-loaded schedules and capital expenditure spends
- Lead client meetings and other project-related gatherings
- Identify factors influencing construction costs and monitor project financial performance
- Review and validate cost estimates prepared by contractors and internal teams
- Support engineering decisions related to project cost and budget during design-build changes
- Coordinate and oversee scheduling consultant reviews on the project
- Advocate on behalf of the client during disputes, modifications, or change orders
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Germany
Qualifications
- University degree in Construction Management or a related field
- Several years of experience as a Project Manager for major construction projects, with specific experience in data center construction
- Proven experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) related tasks
- Advanced skills in spreadsheets, report writing, and presentations
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively
- Team-oriented attitude, self-motivation, and willingness to support other groups and projects
- Entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and dynamism
- Knowledge of FIDIC standards and experience with construction cost management
- Familiarity with project scheduling, cost estimation, and budgeting processes
- Understanding of data center infrastructure and design principles
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Germany
- Fluent English language skills; minimum B2 German language level preferred
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and goal-oriented approach
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
