In your role as a Scientist (m/f/d) in the field of corrosion protection, you will expand our existing product portfolio and act as project manager for the development, optimization and handover of new products in the field of corrosion-resistant coatings and zinc flake coatings to our international customers.
Your responsibilities
- Management of the development and implementation of new coating systems and processes
- Management of the qualification and evaluation of new products and processes as well as their practical implementation in terms of process technology
- Identification of optimization potential in existing products and coordination of the implementation and monitoring of new developments
- Creation of project plans in R&D
- Supporting field tests at customer sites
- Technical supervision of the implementation of patents and literature research
- Contact person and advisor for technical issues
- Company presentation at trade fairs and conferences, as well as preparation of scientific publications
- Preparation, maintenance and management of documentation and reports
What you bring to the table
- Completed university studies in chemistry, chemical engineering, or surface technology, PhD required
- Professional experience in electroplating or paint system technology, especially in the area of corrosion protection
- Profound expertise in inorganic, organic, and technical chemistry as well as in electroplating or painting systems
- Analytical and innovative thinking, creativity in product development, structured and methodical working style, as well as flexibility, resilience
- Joy in collaboration with other teams locally and internationally
- Very good English skills in both spoken and written form, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office
