The role:
Development and validation of new hair care technologies. Examination of fundamental properties of hair fibres, including physical testing, chemical analysis, etc.
What you will do:
- Laboratory experiments for evaluating new technologies (ideas from internal/external sources and KAO Research)
- Laboratory experiments for understanding hair properties, including the testing of hair fibres physically or chemically, and for investigating the effects of, e.g., damage on hair properties
- Applying for patents to safeguard research findings; assisting the Patent department with patent registration and generation of data to support patent applications at each stage
- Initial testing and real-world evaluation of new technologies in collaboration with Salon testing team
- Initial stability testing of prototype formulations and gathering of data for patents applications, where applicable
What you will need:
- Degree/Masters Degree in natural sciences
- A minimum of two years of work experience (ideally in a lab setting)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills#
- Excellent collaboration and communicational skills
- Highly self-motivated
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
