Position Title: Relocation Readiness Program Support Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Army Community Service (ACS), United States Army Garrison (USAG) Ansbach, Germany (Katterbach Kaserne, Storck Barracks, Barton Barracks, Bismarck Kaserne, Shipton Kaserne/Urlas Area).
Requirements:
the candidate must be able to work on U.S. military installations in Germany (installation pass and background check required).
the candidate shall have Completed 24 semester hours in social sciences (psychology, sociology, human services, social work, counseling, etc.) OR minimum of 5 years’ experience within the past 10 years working in program support, family services, or similar human services-related contracts.
the candidate shall have Strong administrative and clerical skills, including experience with recordkeeping, correspondence, and scheduling.
the candidate shall have Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to use databases such as the Army Family Web Portal Client Tracking System.
the candidate shall have Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of German language is desirable.
the candidate shall have Ability to prepare and conduct classes/training sessions.
the candidate Must complete required Army training: Anti-Terrorism Level I, OPSEC, iWATCH, Information Assurance, and PII training within designated timelines.
the candidate shall have the Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a military community setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Relocation Readiness Program Support Specialist shall provide support services to the ACS Relocation Readiness Program, including but not limited to:
Administrative & Clerical Support
Maintain Relocation Readiness records, files, and forms in compliance with Army regulations.
Prepare meeting minutes, correspondence, and reports.
Schedule and coordinate ACS classroom and meeting reservations.
Support Relocation Program Manager and attend Relocation Assistance Coordinating Council (RACC) meetings.
Reception & Client Services
Staff the ACS reception desk at Katterbach and Storck Barracks during operating hours.
Track all client requests, referrals, and training attendance; enter data into the Army Family Web Portal.
Maintain ACS calendar of events and sign-in logs.
Distribute welcome packets and maintain minimum stock for newcomers.
Lending Closet Operations
Manage ACS Lending Closet, issue and receive household items, maintain inventory, and track overdue returns.
Dispose of outdated or damaged items and update records accordingly.
Outreach & Marketing
Assist with ACS outreach campaigns and distribute marketing materials (flyers, brochures, online postings).
Maintain updated resource guides and directories for community referrals.
Training & Education Support
Prepare for and deliver relocation-related classes and briefings, including:
Host Nation Orientation & Walking Tour (bi-weekly).
Basic Conversational German Classes (twice weekly in series).
English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes (weekly).
Assist in lesson plan updates, publicity, and student enrollment.
Measure customer satisfaction via the Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) system.
Reporting & Compliance
Document all services provided in the Client Tracking System.
Comply with all U.S. and Host Nation safety, environmental, and security requirements.
Support planned and unplanned absence backfill requirements.
