- Lead the product development of micro-LED arrays, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including device, manufacturing, downstream integration, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless downstream integration.
- Identify gaps in micro-LED array performance vs specification by thoroughly analyzing performance in comparison to product requirements and drive the closure of these gaps by working with design and manufacturing.
- Provide statistical analysis of product test data & yields highlighting key gaps to stakeholders.
- Translation and communication of data to guide actionable engineering opportunities for optimisation of product performance and factory specifications.
- Leveraging or developing innovative data mining, visualization and machine learning methods to solve novel and varied business problems in performance modeling, anomaly detection and root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process and design optimization.
- Develop and maintain product engineering procedures and documentation.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register to document potential risks throughout the product life cycle, including mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure project continuity and product integrity.
- International travel up to 25% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Materials Science or similar.
- Experience in product engineering in the microelectronics industry (semiconductor wafer processing, active matrix display, sensor arrays or LED development) or similar.
- Proven experience delivering multiple high volume electronic components through development cycles to product launch, working with cross functional teams and external partners.
- Participation in performance and yield management programs in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience with failure analysis and reliability of electronic components.
- Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills.
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Materials Science or similar.
- In-depth experience in one the following industries: semiconductors (particularly compound semiconductors), active matrix displays or sensor arrays.
- Product engineering experience delivering electro-optic components such as LEDs, lasers, photodiodes and sensors, and ideally experience with micro-displays or sensor arrays.
