We aim to study the role of the hematopoietic system as a hub between cardiovascular and kidney diseases. Our Department of Nephrology and EKFZ (Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung)

Your Role:
- Make use of state-of-the art technologies and ample training opportunities, mentoring and a stimulating, translational environment
- Independently develop new ideas and cutting-edge new translational projects
- Planning, execution and analysis of experiments aiming to mechanistically and functionally characterize the hematopoietic system at the interface between heart and kidney
- Publication of scientific manuscripts in high-ranking journals
- Participation in scientific conferences and research networks
- A master degree and a PhD in biochemistry, cellular / molecular biology, medical biology, computational biology or a related field.
- Solid expertise in cell and molecular biology, medical biology, and physiology
- In-depth knowledge of molecular biology, ideally including experience with single-cell technologies and epigenetics
- Very good command of English
- Strong IT skills and advanced knowledge of bioinformatics
- Organized, team-oriented, flexible, open-minded, and possessing strong communication skills
- Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required
