Customer Solutions & Innovation (CSI) is DHL's cross-divisional commercial and innovation unit. Are you excited about data-driven marketing and eager to dive into the world of marketing automation? Join our team as a Marketing Automation Senior Specialist and help plan, execute, and optimize global digital marketing initiatives. You’ll work primarily with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Sales Cloud, while also leveraging other tools like Oktopost to deliver impactful email marketing, social media campaigns, and event experiences. This is a growth-oriented role perfect for someone with foundational technical skills, strong attention to detail, and a keen desire to learn.


Principal Accountabilities:


Campaign Creation & Automation

  • Configure and manage email campaigns, journeys, and workflows within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Use basic AMPscript, HTML, and SQL skills to create personalized, dynamic email content.
  • Ensure accurate audience segmentation and targeting across multiple digital channels.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain both standard and custom reports to track performance and customer engagement.
  • Analyze key metrics, communicate findings, and recommend data-driven improvements for future campaigns.
  • Convert insights into actionable strategies to optimize marketing touchpoints.

Global Email Marketing & Events

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support B2B events—physical, digital, and hybrid—through landing pages, email marketing, and automated workflows.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for campaign stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment from initial request to final execution.
  • Contribute to the global email marketing strategy, driving consistency and scalability across regions.

Social Media Management & Advocacy

  • Manage and optimize our LinkedIn presence using Oktopost, including scheduling, monitoring engagement, and aligning content with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as user access management, content calendar updates, and platform configuration.
  • Support reporting for social media activities, including metrics analysis and presentation of results to stakeholders.

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Maintain clear, detailed documentation on processes, best practices, and campaign workflows.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to refine and enhance marketing automation processes.
  • Help team members by sharing knowledge and guiding them through best practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • Foundational experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Sales Cloud, or strong ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Basic knowledge of AMPscript, HTML, and SQL is highly desirable.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Oktopost) or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with other marketing automation tools like MailChimp or HubSpot is a plus.
  • Interest in data science, particularly in marketing and sales contexts, will be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfort interpreting cross-channel metrics (email, social media, etc.) and turning them into actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated and proactive about staying current on marketing automation and social media trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are welcome.
  • Strong writing skills for emails, social media posts, documentation, and stakeholder reports.
  • Team player comfortable with cross-departmental collaboration (e.g., marketing, content, design) and open to feedback.
  • Passion for learning and exploring new ways to enhance multichannel marketing performance.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and continuous improvement.
