Join Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing team as an Intellectual Property (IP) Rights Policy Researcher and engage in a dynamic role that bridges technology and policy. This paid internship offers a comprehensive platform to explore the intersections of innovation, technology, and IP rights.
You’ll get the opportunity to
- Educational Outreach: Help academics, policy makers and broad audiences understand how IP rights and Ericsson’s contributions drive innovation.
- Simplification of Complex Information: Translate complex legal texts into clear, accessible content.
- Research and Analysis: Explore emerging issues at the intersection of IP rights and new technologies. Conduct structured research and draw out meaningful insights.
- Content Creation: Draft concise summaries of academic and business publications and author several brief research or policy papers.
- Skill Development: Participate in a series of workshops designed to enhance both soft and hard skills, including: Effective presentation and debate techniques, writing for academic and policy audiences, conflict management, Business English communication, understanding cellular standards, AI and open-source environments
Key skills
- Educational Background: Applicants should possess a degree in law or economics. A strong interest in or a solid understanding of intellectual property rights is highly desirable.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal abilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The capacity to thrive within a diverse, multicultural team is essential.
- Personal Attributes: We are looking for highly motivated and creative individuals who are committed team players.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Germany (e.g., EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship or an existing German work permit). Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Documentation required
