We are looking for two reliable Maintenance Team Members (m/f/d) to support our hostel and bar operations in Berlin.
1 role: 4 days per week × 6 hours = 24 hours/week
1 role: 3 days per week × 6 hours = 18 hours/week

Job Role
We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. You’ll handle both routine and emergency tasks to ensure our facilities run smoothly. This includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance across guest rooms, bars, kitchens, and outdoor areas. Adhering to health and safety guidelines is critical due to possible exposure to hazardous materials or equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Routine Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently and safely
Preventative Maintenance: Follow maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and improve efficiency
Safety Compliance: Ensure all facilities meet safety standards for both staff and guests
Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and solve technical problems; suggest process improvements
Inventory Management: Keep records of tools, parts, inspections, and maintenance activities
Collaboration: Work with other departments to avoid disrupting operations
Emergency Response: React quickly to urgent maintenance issues
Documentation: Log maintenance activities, inspections, and technical manuals
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Competencies
Basic spoken English (German is a bonus)
Confidence using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Friendly, professional attitude and willingness to adapt
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
Comfortable with standing, walking, and climbing ladders for extended periods
Ability to work in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, confined spaces)
Legal Requirements
