Job Description

The role of Airbus Technical Representative is responsible for overseeing and leading the technical and contractual aspects relating to manufacturing and delivery of Airbus A350 and A320 aircraft, ensuring the aircraft are manufactured in accordance with the Qantas Group specification, with high quality and delivered on time. As part of this role, you will ensure all aircraft production inspections and delivery activities are carried out on time and in a cost-effective manner as well as being instrumental in achieving successful contractual & commercial outcomes to minimise ongoing operational costs. These two roles are 24-month secondment opportunities; one will be based in Toulouse, France and the other in Hamburg, Germany.
You’ll have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering preferred (or other relevant qualifications)
- Ability to lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary workforce
- Ability to stay motivated in an autonomous environment
- Responsiveness and multiple directional change capabilities
- Ability to maintain focus upon primary objectives in a changing environment
- Ability to communicate at all levels with internal customers and suppliers
- Proven ability in project management
- Knowledge of QE and Corporate policy, processes and procedures
- Broad knowledge of key stakeholders within the Qantas group
- Ability to negotiate and influence others
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management / Asset Management and OEM engagement
- Thorough understanding of Continuing Airworthiness Management regulations and processes
- Experience in CAMO organization and thorough understanding of operational environment
- Experience leading / managing a team & demonstration of leadership capability
- Ability to build relationships and influencing skills at all levels within and external to the organization
- Commercial awareness
- Analytical thinking with the ability to breakdown complex problems and resolve conflicting requirements
- Ability to make decisions without being influenced by personal or commercial pressures
