- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB.
- Responsible for the complete and proper bookkeeping of the company, including IC account reconciliation and fixed asset accounting.
- Compliance and Taxation:
- Oversee compliance with all relevant tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax filings.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Handle VAT pre-registrations and ZM reports.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide variance analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
- Process Improvement and Systems Management:
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize accounting processes and systems.
- Ensure the effective use of financial software and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage, improve, and implement accounting software solutions for the company, such as NetSuite.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Assist in internal audits and contribute to risk management efforts.
- Collaborate with external collection agencies for overdue customer accounts and ensure timely payments through dunning procedures.
- Certified Bilanzbuchhalter or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on HGB compliance.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software and tools (NetSuite explicitly, additional systems include DATEV, SAP or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English is mandatory.
