About the role
As a student assistant you will be working on the following main tasks:
Support of our customer projects
Research and analysis on various energy topics and markets
Collection and analysis of data
Quantitative analyses and modelling
Assessment of studies and reports
Summary and preparation of key findings
Support the drafting of presentations, project reports and publications
Support in the preparation of project proposals
About the team
The Energy Markets and Strategy (EMS) team located in Bonn (Germany) is providing economic, strategic and commercial advice on the energy sector to clients in the D-A-CH countries and internationally. We focus on the energy transition and the impact of the switch to renewable energy resources. Rapid changes create uncertainty and risk from a market perspective, and we take an active role in helping our clients manage that risk through in-depth knowledge of power, gas and the broader energy markets.
Our portfolio of services includes policy and market analysis, economic regulation and energy market design, market and system integration of renewable energies, economic and financial assessment of investments, assets and business models, commercial and regulatory due diligence, market modelling and power price forecasting. Our clients are leading utilities, network operators, project developers, industry, financial investors, and various energy and climate focused government entities.

You should have the following:
You're an active, engaged student who wants to learn and grow professionally and to expand knowledge and skills
You are pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in economics, finance, business administration or a technical subject and have first experiences with the energy industry from your studies or previous work experience/internships
You show enthusiasm for the energy sector and curiosity to understand economic and technical interrelationships
You have a good knowledge of English written and spoken
You are flexible, a team player and able to work independently
Your're able to commute to our office in Bonn
You are able to work with us for at least 6 months
