Join us for an impactful project on AI-driven technical drawing analysis and segmentation. Your task is to develop AI-driven methods for automatically segmenting technical drawings, extracting relevant manufacturing information, and enhancing automation in procurement and validation workflows. Your work will directly enhance manufacturing efficiency, making precision part procurement faster and more accessible.
Your responsibilities
Apply AI-driven technical drawing segmentation and feature extraction.
Develop advanced AI-based algorithms for automated segmentation, feature recognition, and classification in 2D technical drawings.
Collaborate with experts in AI, computer vision, and manufacturing automation to refine and optimize your models.
Contribute to cutting-edge research in AI-driven manufacturing automation, improving efficiency in digital workflows.
Your Profile
Currently pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering, computational engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
A solid foundation in computer vision and experience with 2D object detection.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with OpenCV or other computer vision libraries.
Hands-on experience with machine learning, image processing, optical character recognition (OCR), and deep learning techniques for 2D analysis.
Optional: Familiarity with technical drawing standards (ISO, DIN) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Proficiency in English.
A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

The software-as-a-service solution Spanflug MAKE enables manufacturing companies in the machining sector to perform costing, quoting and work preparation more efficiently, to react more quickly to customer enquiries and to set up their business profitably in the long term.
