Job Description
Company Overview: METRO AG is dedicated to protecting its assets and continually optimizing its attack surface. We believe that controlling the Attack Surface is the most essential part of vulnerability management. Join our team of cyber defense experts in Düsseldorf and play a crucial role in establishing and enhancing our Attack Surface Management capabilities.
Role Overview: As a Vulnerability Management Expert, you will lead and steer the development, maintenance, and strategic direction of Attack Surface Management capabilities for METRO AG. You will act as a central point of responsibility, providing technical guidance to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities within our environment, ultimately reducing the risk of associated incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership: Take ownership of the vulnerability management process, focusing on attack surface management.
- Outcome Responsibility: Be responsible for the performance and deliverables of the operational VM services provided for the global METRO organization.
- Leadership: Lead initiatives to improve the security posture of the company.
- Collaboration: Work closely with MSSP Analysts to optimize detection and response capabilities.
- Strategic Guidance: Oversee current tools and technologies, providing strategic guidance to continuously improve Attack Surface Management.
- Team Structure: You will be part of a very international team of cyber defense experts based in Düsseldorf, collaborating with service providers delivering the operational service.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 3-8 years of experience in technical risk reduction.
- A collaborative and knowledge-sharing attitude.
- Proven experience in leading the development, maintenance, and strategic direction of Attack Surface Management capabilities.
- Strong technical guidance skills for proactive vulnerability identification and remediation.
