Technical Support Specialist I 

Cattron GmbH specializes in advanced remote control systems for material handling and rail applications. We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join us as a Technical Support Specialist (m/f/d). In this role, you will serve as a key interface between our customers and our engineering team, handling technical inquiries and concerns clearly and professionally. This position requires excellent communication skills, an understanding of technical concepts, and the ability to build strong customer relationships.

 

Responsibilities

- First point of contact for customers with technical inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.

- Analyze and understand customer technical issues; provide initial assistance or forward to the engineering team.

- Facilitate clear and precise communication between customers and internal technical teams.

- Efficient and accurate documentation of customer interactions, technical issues, and their resolutions.

- Support customers by explaining technical solutions in a clear and understandable manner.

- Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers through active listening and empathetic communication.

- Assist in creating technical reports, training materials, and customer-oriented documentation.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cattron’s product features, applications, and updates to ensure effective support.

- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to understand and meet customer needs.

- Provide feedback to internal teams on recurring customer concerns to promote continuous improvement of products and services.

 

Requirements

- Proven experience in customer service or support; experience in material handling, rail transport, or related industries is a plus.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong affinity for technology and ability to quickly grasp technical concepts; experience with remote control systems or industrial automation is a plus.

- Ability to convey technical information in customer-friendly language.

- Natural ability to understand and clearly explain technical concepts.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting.

- Experience with CRM systems and other support tools.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Fluent in German (written and spoken) and good English skills.

 

Education/Experience

- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is desirable but not required; equivalent experience will also be considered.

- 1-2 years of professional experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in a technical field.
