Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Automotive MCU Architecture Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive chip architecture strategy for automotive MCUs, aligning with Infineon`s business objectives, market trends, and customer requirements
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of architects and engineers, ensuring that automotive MCU architectures are designed and developed with a focus on innovation, performance, power efficiency, safety, and security
- Architecture Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop automotive MCU architectures that meet specific product requirements, including performance, power, area, and functionality, while ensuring compliance with automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262)
- Technology Road mapping: Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that outlines the company's automotive MCU plans, including the adoption of new technologies, process nodes, and design methodologies
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and sales teams, as well as external partners, including automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industry consortia (e.g., AUTOSAR)
- Talent Development: Attract, retain, and develop top talent in the field of automotive MCU architecture, ensuring that the team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver innovative and competitive chip architectures
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage the budget and resources for the automotive MCU architecture team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 10 years of working experience in chip architecture , with a proven track record of delivering innovative and successful chip architectures
- In-depth knowledge of chip architecture , including processor architecture, memory hierarchy, interconnects, and power management
- Proven leadership skills , with experience in managing and motivating high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry , including market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
- Experience with automotive-specific technologies : Knowledge of automotive-specific technologies such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE, Cybersecurity standards (e.g., SAE J3016)
- Know-how of automotive MCU architecture including Microcontroller architecture (e.g., ARM, x86, RISC-V), Automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262), Functional safety and security and Automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
- Familiarity with emerging automotive trends like Autonomous driving, Electrification, Connected cars or Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Excellent English language skills , German is a benefit
