The head office for the DACH and EEC markets, covering 13 countries with more than 2.700 employees, is in Düsseldorf and is the main location of around 500 employees.

The purpose of the Specialist Regional Risk Management is to manage, coordinate and drive all profit protection related topics in region, including data analysis and reporting. The goal is to create maximum transparency with regards to in-store transactions and processes and ensuring a high level of compliance. In addition, the reduction of regional shrinkage, the identification of priority stores and the performance of (virtual) store audits are highly important tasks to achieve.

A day in the life of a Specialist Retail Risk Management Region West (m/f/x):

  • You will be responsible for reviewing and improving store processes to minimize loss and ensure compliance with company policies

  • You will analyze in-store transactions, stock discrepancies, and cash differences to identify risks and drive corrective actions

  • You will support the creation and update of internal policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to loss prevention and profit protection

  • You will collaborate with Central Risk Management, Local Operations and other departments to implement regional risk and profit protection plans

  • You will provide practical support and solutions to all stores on high incident levels or elevated risk

  • You will ensure all security systems (e.g., CCTV, alarms, EAS) are functional and store staff are trained in their proper use

  • You will assist in investigations into suspected internal dishonesty or policy breaches, in coordination with HR and Legal

  • You will deliver training to store teams on loss prevention practices, risk awareness, and emergency procedures

  • You will conduct regular audits to monitor compliance with loss prevention policies and follow up on any findings

What do we need from you? You have:

  • University degree in business, economics, textile or related fields - or comparable education with relevant work experience

  • Previous experience in profit protection, ideally gained within a retail environment

  • Ability to research and analyze multiple data streams to make informed decisions

  • Knowledge of store processes and procedures

  • Strong project and time management skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Knowledge of local/ regional store processes, laws & regulations and cultural needs

  • Very good analytical skills, as well as advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and SAP BW

  • Independent, highly structured and precise way of working

  • Professional and authentic appearance & communication, discreet workstyle

  • Willingness to travel if necessary

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
