Clarification from the agency

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. Duties

  • Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains policies and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
  • Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities.
  • Opens and/or closes facilities by locking/unlocking doors and windows, and assuring security system is operable.
  • Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits
  • Cleans recreation equipment, supplies and facility area. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation to include childcare checks.
  • This position may require a health screening due to the lifting requirement of 45 lbs. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Must be willing and able to work rotating Shifts: M-F 0430-2030, Sa/Su 0700-1530. Periodic weekend programs from 0600-1500.
  • Possesses the ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain both a valid USAREUR drivers license and a TMP license.

Qualifications

1. Work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the following duties: secure facility, issue equipment to customers, collect fees (ex: registration for trip, payment of rented equipment etc.), and monitor inventory (ex. Supplies, equipment etc.).
2. Must have and retain a valid drivers license.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).   • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential may be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid.
  • Post allowance may be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR), contingent upon eligibility.
