Our department develops top-notch, high-fidelity engineering and training simulations for a variety of aircrafts, supporting the entire development lifecycle.
We are looking for the tech lead in context of control stations for our simulators. In addition to the overall simulation control & monitoring, these stations are also used for instructing and debriefing training sessions. While defining and implementing the fundamental software architecture, you will also be the mentor for a team of software engineers providing guidance and hands-on training in the relevant technologies and architectures to ensure successful development across all product.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Own the Qt/QML based frontend software architecture for our products. Ensure modularity, performance and responsiveness.
- Translate requirements into a feasible technical roadmap together with project managers and system- & backend engineers, break down tasks and track milestones.
- Drive the development of user-centric, high-performance UIs with Qt/QML, aligning design with usability and technical architecture.
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns and best practices.
- Review code, identify areas for improvement, and ensure consistent code quality.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure smooth build-, test- and delivery pipelines.
- Mentor and train junior engineers in the technology stack and the derived architecture, helping them grow technically.
- Conduct research and evaluate new UI technology trends and tools to continuously improve our software development environment.
Desired skills and qualifications
- Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-8 years’ experience in software development with focus on frontend/UI applications.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex and scalable software architectures in a collaborative environment.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Qt framework, especially QtQuick and QML.
- Proven ability to lead a development team technically, prioritize tasks and manage complexity.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and to efficiently collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with modern DevOps pipelines, containerization, and software development methodologies.
- Being passionate for clean code.
