WAECO has been a recognized market leader in this field for over 50 years and works closely with workshop customers and the automotive industry; and a leading provider of workshop equipment with a clear focus on innovative solutions in the field of automotive air conditioning technology.
Our air conditioning service devices are used in workshops and by OEMs worldwide. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated Product Manager (m/f/d) with technical understanding and market insight to further develop our product line.
Your main responsibilities
- Full product responsibility for our air conditioning service equipment throughout the entire product lifecycle (concept, development, market launch, lifecycle management)
- Market and competitor analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities
- Development of business case models in collaboration with Sales and Controlling
- Creation and maintenance of product and requirement documents (e.g., specifications, product data sheets, price lists)
- Close collaboration with an international team in development, purchasing, sales, marketing, and service
- Technical contact for our foreign production site and for new series launches
- Management of TÜV-related approvals such as type testing, CE declaration, and certification modules B and C2
- Support during the market launch of new devices and further developments, including training of the sales team on technical and strategic issues
- Management of the existing product portfolio, continuous optimization of product quality and costs
- Participation in trade fairs, customer meetings, and presentations both domestically and internationally

A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:
- Completed vocational training in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience in product management, ideally in the field of technical capital goods or automotive workshop equipment
- Technical understanding of refrigeration/air conditioning technology or automotive engineering is an advantage
- Knowledge of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
- Structured working style, entrepreneurial thinking, and strong communication skills
- Confident user of German and English, both written and spoken
- Experience with ERP and PIM systems is an advantage
