Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Plumber to join our Base Operations team. The ideal candidate will be a proficient and reliable professional with a strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and safety procedures. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all plumbing systems and fixtures across the base. Your work is crucial for ensuring the proper functioning of our water, drainage, and heating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Repair: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, and fittings in various buildings and facilities.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and system malfunctions.
Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and correct potential issues before they escalate.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute plumbing projects accurately.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and plumbing codes, ensuring all work is compliant with federal and local standards.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a professional plumber.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods.
Certification: A valid state plumber's license is required. A valid driver's license is also necessary.
