This is a hybrid role that takes place three days per week in our Berlin or Hamburg offices.
What You Will Do
Support in handling ad-hoc tax advisory questions
Assist in process improvement related to tax compliance
Optimize the preparation of corporate tax returns, including coordination with external advisors and gathering necessary documentation
Support the implementation of a Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS)
Perform VAT plausibility checks and ensure compliance with VAT regulations
Analyze tax considerations of cross-border flows, including implementation of transfer pricing policies, preparation of master and local files, etc
Follow-up of tax legislative changes in relevant jurisdictions and ensure international tax compliance across these jurisdictions.
Assist in quarterly and yearly financial closings from a tax perspective
Requirements
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a focus on German Taxation
At least 3 years of experience in tax advisory, in a corporate tax role, preferably in Big4 or an international setting with a focus on German taxation
Strong knowledge of corporate tax, transfer pricing, and international tax regulations
Fluent in English, German is highly preferred
Good knowledge of MS Office applications
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex tax issues
Strong communication and leadership abilities to support and coach local teams
