Global Supply Chain COE Expert (m/f/d)
Summary:
TIn this role, you will own and drive global supply chain projects, ensuring they align with strategic business goals and deliver measurable value. You will define the roadmap for key supply chain initiatives, prioritizing efforts that support operational excellence and long-term growth. A critical focus will be on driving improvements in the Value Creation Plan (VCP) and enhancing service levels across the global supply chain network. You will lead projects from concept to implementation in line with the established SCM roadmap and play an active role in strengthening and advancing the maturity of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across regions and functions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensures processes are in line with Momentive integrity, Safety, Revenue recognition policies and SOX
- Uses Lean Six Sigma tools to optimize order management processes and to identify projects for metric / process improvement.
- Responsible for process simplification and process linkage with Global operating processes while retaining regional differences by initiation or involvement of regional or global projects.
- Enables global Logistics Information systems through the use of 4PL and key Logistics Service Providers to obtain Cost and Service visibility at all levels (BU, Global, Regional Plant views)
- Identifies, prioritizes, and manages Projects, with a focus on process optimizations linked to our SCM roadmaps
- Drive actions to improve service to our customers globally (both internal and external customers)
- Lead Projects in the S&OP
- Translate the business strategy into a manufacturing strategy, ensuring a smooth transition and implementation, and hand off of a feasible plan to the regional teams.
- Develop asset utilization strategy working closely with BU SIOP Leaders (where to produce – asset expansion, toll, buy) for the BU’s in close conjunction with Global goals.
- Execute 12 12-month rolling Supply/Demand Plan Model quarterly. Utilize market trends, shutdowns, x-pole plans, and other factors to model potential alternate scenarios.
- Develop a rolling 12 month Demand plan and supporting 12 month Supply plan in SAP.
- Analyze results and report out to the business. Recommend courses of action to facilitate unmet demand, cross-pole requirements, capacity-constrained assets, etc., to drive total Silicones' profitability.
- Run long-term scenario analyses based on BU strategic planning.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or supply chain topics
- 10 years of manufacturing and supply chain experience within a multinational chemicals company
- Certifications in Lean and Six Sigma
- SAP ERP System extended knowledge
The following are preferred for the role:
- CSCP Certification from APICS is a plus.
- Proficient knowledge of SAP, Zemeter, advanced scheduling software (MIMI), and advanced planning models (Arkieva)
- Proficient in Excel Macro / SQL Language /Tableau Reporting
