Job Title: Control System Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Control System Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize a wide range of automated control systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and building automation systems (BAS). This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of critical infrastructure, including HVAC, power, and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on all control systems, including hardware, software, and networking components.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex control system issues, alarm failures, and communication faults.
Programming & Optimization: Develop, modify, and optimize PLC, DCS, and BAS programming to improve system performance, efficiency, and functionality.
Integration: Install and integrate new control systems and components, ensuring seamless operation with existing infrastructure.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of system configurations, schematics, and all maintenance or repair activities.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards, including electrical safety procedures.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree or certification from a technical program in automation, electronics, or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience with industrial control systems, including programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), DCS, or BAS.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, instrumentation, and control theory. Proficiency in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Leadership: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Certification: A valid driver's license is required. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISA, Rockwell Automation) are highly valued.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in various positions for extended periods.
Must be able to work in diverse conditions, including exposure to loud noise, dust, and electrical hazards.
