SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Automation / Modernization Specialist to support our government customer’s requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).

SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Automation / Modernization Specialist to support our government customer’s requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
- May analyze or recommend commercially available software.
- Lead the strategic design and implementation of enterprise-wide automation initiatives to optimize IT service delivery and infrastructure management.
- Architect and oversee the development of automated self-help capabilities, significantly reducing help desk dependencies.
- Define standards and best practices for automated configuration management, including event logging and updates.
- Direct the design and implementation of comprehensive CMDBs to maximize the effectiveness of automation tools.
- Champion the creation and utilization of automated documentation and security operations libraries.
- Identify and drive the adoption of automation and modernization technologies across the IT landscape.
- Provide expert consultation and guidance on complex automation challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
- An active Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
- DOD Work Role ID 753 Certs: CAP or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
- Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
- Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
- Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.
- May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
